Coffee

I figure my first post should be about something that I consume on a daily basis: Coffee. After years of working in several coffee shops, I've become kind of a snob when it comes to coffee. I can't just have anything from the store. I need fresh roasted coffee kept in air tight containers.


My all time favorite coffee is Ocean Avenue from an extremely small roaster in Carmel called The Carmel Coffee House. It is a light roast (more caffeine!) blend of a few different coffees, and I really can't start my day without it. You can taste the freshness, and can visibly see the difference in oil on the beans versus other brands. While other coffees may need cream and sugar to make it drinkable, this I can drink black. The roaster has only one shop in downtown Carmel, right in the middle of the shop. Fortunately you can buy their coffee online - but I always stock up every time I'm in town.
