Birch Box: Highs and Lows

So I found out about Birchbox a few months ago and signed up. I've already received two boxes and I've got some mixed feelings about the products. Some things I've really liked, others have been ok, and some have been terrible.

September box:
Jouer lip enhancer: I use this stuff every day but my lips still get chap. A little has gone a long way (the sample has lasted me this long) but I wouldn't buy it just because I feel like it doesn't do much.

Harvey Prince Eau Flirt in Lavender Pumpkin: I actually really like this scent. Kind of girly and youthful - a great daytime smell.

Blinc mascara: I can't decide how I feel about this mascara. I love it because it just comes off in the shower in "tubes" the next day. I'm pretty lazy about taking off my makeup at night and this makes it easier. The only thing is that you don't get very thick looking lashes with that, and I prefer making them thicker.

October box:
Sunday Riley Modern Skincare Juno Transformative Lipid Serum: I tried this last night on my face. I love face serums so I was really looking forward to it. Until I smelled it. It smelled like Italian dressing. It grossed me out so much that I had trouble sleeping. I'll never use it again simply because of the smell. Bad bad bad.

Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer: I actually love this product. My friend Liddy was telling me how fabulous primer was, and I'd never heard of it. Somehow it makes putting on makeup a lot easier and everything looks smother.

Considering it's only $10 a month, I'm going to continue being a subscriber even though it can be a toss-up. I never really buy cosmetics so it's a good opportunity for me to at least TRY stuff.
