So I wanted to write about all the stuff I got in this month's Birchbox but I had to try it all out first. For some reason they take forever to get here. I love getting my Birchbox every month - it's like a little gift! That and I never buy stuff like this for myself, so it's nice to force myself into a little beautification.
This month I got:
LaROCCA Champagne and Shimmer Acai Sugar Polish
Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee
Chuao Chocolate Bars
Tay Safflower Seed Night Cream with Jojoba
Zoya Gems & Jewels Collection Nail Polish
The LaRocca sugar scrub was just OK. It smelled great, but it didn't have much scrub in it and was mostly just a jelly consistency
The Atelier cologne smelled like the Aria hotel in Las Vegas. Aria is scented in this sweet, vanilla scent, and it's nice, but not on me. I like something with a little more spice and depth.
The chocolate was good: it had a spicy flavor and had pop rocks in it! I love spicy flavored chocolate - it makes great hot cocoa. Unfortunately it had corn in it, so I won't be ordering a bunch for the house.
I am absolutely in love with the night cream they sent. It smells great and makes my skin feel so soft. Unfortunately its so totally expensive (over $100 for a normal size) that I'll never buy it for myself because I'm sure I can find a product 1/3 of the price that can do the same thing. I'm not sure if I ACTUALLY love it or if I just feel luxurious putting something that expensive on my skin.
The Zoya nail polish rocks. The color they sent was a little bit funky for my taste but I still thought it looked great. It went on really smoothly and evenly. Their website says that it should last longer than most nail polish but I didn't think it did. I still loved it though.
Can't wait for the next box!
