Thanksgiving in the Midwest

Late last night we just got back from Thanksgiving in Kansas! We hadn't been to see HB's family in years, and it was really fun. 

HB has been telling me for years about how awesome the Sedgwick County Zoo is. Of course, after seeing the San Diego Zoo, which is one of the top zoos in the country, I didn't think I would really care about going to some zoo in the middle of Kansas. 

But he was right -- the zoo in Wichita is AMAZING! The way it is set up is that there are viewpoints all around where the animals are, so you can get really close to all the animals. 

You can't really see, but that's me and a wallaby.

So much fun! And WAY better than the San Diego zoo (you need binoculars to see anything there).
