Top Five Thursdays: Dream Vacations!

The unrelenting rain/thunder/lightening here has me dying for a vacation. That and when it isn't raining it is soooo muggy. I feel like I'm hiding from the weather most of the day. I used my air conditioning for the first time ever today. I've never lived anywhere that has had it before!

I'm also just dying for a vacation. HB and I didn't even take a honeymoon, and other than two weekends to Vegas have never gone anywhere together. Hopefully that'll change soon - we are planning a weekend to DC to soak up some history. If I didn't have a budget, these are the top five places I would love to go.

TOP FIVE DREAM VACATIONS

1. France
France
Two of my favorite things are seeing historical sites or learning about history and eating. France is a pretty perfect combination of the two.

2. Italy
Italy
Italy is another combination of those two things. Pasta, pizza, cheese. YUM.

3. India

India
I am in LOVE with Indian culture. I love everything, from Bollywood to the food to the colorful clothing. I am absolutely dying to go.

4. Turks and Caicos
Turks and Caicos
I've never really seen the appeal of going to a tropical island. There isn't much historically to do and it isn't really a food destination. I don't swim, so anything water-related is out. But lately I see the appeal of just sitting on a beach relaxing in the sun. After moving away from a beach, I can see why people would take a vacation just to see one.

5. Alaska
Alaska
Alaska is the opposite of #4, but I want to go just as bad. The landscape is supposed to be beautiful and everything is covered in trees and ice.
