First Time Thrifting

Yesterday I went on my first thrifting trip! Our new place is a lot bigger than our old one and I need more furniture to fill that space. But more importantly, I've been driving myself crazy in this house, and need a project.

First I picked up this picture at goodwill for four dollars.

Ugly, I know. BUT I saw this really cute project on a blog and just had to do it.

Then I went to the Habitat Store and picked up this beauty for $35.

HB used the term "hideous" to describe it when he saw it. The color is gold! But I loved the detail of the hardware, the shapes, and the lines. HB and I want to do a French style bedroom and I know with a little TLC it'll be great.

It also came with a matching dresser and I absolutely have to have it. I don't have a way to get it home though. It's a steal and would be perfect so I hope maybe I can figure out a plan B.

I'm so excited to post what I plan on doing with these!
